The highland village markets are filled with people in colorful indigenous clothing, buying and selling brightly hued fruits and vegetables, blankets, woven goods, wood carvings, and articles for tourists.
When I was in high school, I was bullied and sexually abused repeatedly by a few older boys over the course of two years. This is something I never told my parents about or anyone else for that matter. I hid it deep inside, embarrassed, unable to cope with the shame of the experience.
In a hollowed trunk as a way of the canoe, we cross one of the White Nile branches.  Rushing river leaves, among its branches, fertile islands occupied by a community living in subsidiaries sharing everything, utensils, blankets, instruments and collaborating in the ancient daily chores. It is the "Mundari" territory, nomadic shepherds of the Nile.
Stranger Fruit was created in response to the senseless murders of black men across the nation by police violence. Even with smart phones and dash cams recording the actions, more lives get cut short due to unnecessary and excessive violence.
This photo series titled Moments was born out of my desire to capture people on the streets of Chicago. A moment or beat in life is very precious. The genre of street photography is best at telling stories through moments.
In addition to using protective lens filters, whether in transit or in the field, I package bodies and lenses in plastic bags. I have duplicate lenses for each body so I rarely change lenses in the field.
Hybrid photographic project, born and focused on coexistence and interaction with sorceress women, healers and healers who have lived with me throughout my life, all of them have changed my way of perceiving and understanding the world.
I have long had an attachment to things obscured. The 30 photograph series “I Saw This” was shot in New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, Jerusalem, Houston, Kentucky, Montreal, Detroit, and Miami between 2008 and 2016.
The differences can’t be considered limitations, although in our culture these concepts are commonly used as synonyms, limitations are no more than the opportunity to find other routs for the same end, and there is where I find my inspiration: "The sound of silence "
I grew up in a family environment where domestic violence is one of the most marked circumstances in my life, the same setback that has made me constantly migrate.
I think it has a distinctive design. I really like the cover. The full-page portraits of the featured photographers are unusual and, I think, effective. At the end of the day, what really counts is the content – the work that the magazine presents. In general, I find the content inspiring.
The Panzudos represent the sins: the more sins a person has to expiate, the bigger and uglier his attire will be, the better to cure his sins. These figures herald the feast day of Our Lady of La Merced and accompany her, purifying themselves in the process.
Five photographers have been selected from a highly competitive field, and each will present a selection of photographs from a single body of work, considered by the jurors to demonstrate a strong vision, excellence in craftsmanship, and fresh insight to their respective subjects.
In this edition, we have the honour of publishing the photographers' works, Alain Schroeder, Francis Meslet, Gillian Hyland, Garth Lenz and Steve Geer, Without a doubt, some of them, ambitious projects and with a marked personal stamp.
At Medium Photo, we haven’t lost sight of the intimate power found in small photographic prints. Our signature exhibition of the Medium Festival of Photography is open to all subject matters and themes, and all types of photographic print media, as long as the image is 10″x10″ or smaller.
The stations are the designs of architect William Lane, who began working on them more than 20 years ago in the early 1990s and quickly became a hallmark of Miami associated with its revival after the devastation.
These images are from my larger exhibit "The True Cost of Oil which explores the relationship between the world's largest energy project and the environment - both local and global - which it threatens.
As a photographer who enjoys traveling around the world capturing the food, culture, and the great diversity of this beautiful planet, I like to do some detailed research before working on a project.
In this portfolio I draw inspiration from the art of minimalism.By using modern technology I have created photographs that are both true to the artist and the definition of minimalism but convey a modernist approach.
A token is a fraction of the whole. It is not the original, and it will never be the original. It is a sliver, a moment in time, to stand-in for that which is irreplaceable. My art series “Token” was inspired by that definition.
In Chicago, behind the shops and restaurants, there are service alleys. These narrow canyons are lined with dumpsters which are filled each day and emptied each night.
Quotidian Life “ Series “ Living in a great city, I was naturally driven to street photography and depicting the quotidian life in its simplest form. I admit being very audacious not necessarily following the rules surrounding this type of photography in the pure sense of its definition.
I’m currently working on a new series entitled Selah, taking its inspiration from master artists such as Caravaggio, Ribera and Gustave Doré. The exhibition features famous actors and interesting faces. The collection will be exhibited in London and Los Angeles in 2019-20.
