I am a 21st century girl, born in a well educated Muslim family. My parents brought me up with much liberal views. After attaining puberty I was introduced to the abaya and niqab. I was given a choice to wear it or not.
Once in Iceland one cannot be but taken aback by the vast landscape and the minimal presence of human intervention. It is almost a meditative experience to be engulfed by nature away from any urban distraction.
We live at present in a society where we do not take time any more. The consumption gives rhythm to our everyday life and our desire to acquire new goods in quantities always more important, grows day to day.
‘Boomeritis’ series presents stand-alone portraits of buildings with the long exposure shooting technique using a 10-stop neutral density filter as well as regular exposures treated in a similar artistic manner.
