My work explores the landscape and the natural forces that animate it. I am attempting to show something beyond the appearances; the experience of the observer in the landscape.
My project "Microcosmic Portraits Of The Little Earthlings" holds a special place in my life. This project is a series of macro portraits of insects taken with two retro manual focus lenses, manufactured in 1982, connected by a filter ring adapter.
This work is the representation of the permanent movement of marine waters and its erosive impact on the rocks of the coastal edge. This natural process, constant and of high energetic impact, allows to sculpt the rock in a gradual and progressive way, generating beautiful and capricious rock formations.
The emotions of lockdown come and go, ebb and flow: disquieting and sometimes extreme; often softly cocooned in a safe quarantine bubble. I am having unusually vivid dreams. I read in the news that I am not the only one.

I knew about the kea birds before even coming to New Zealand. I discovered them on a BBC documentary show. I was awed by these intelligent birds playing in the snow up in the epic southern alps described like the only parrot species to live in the mountains.
