In fact I visit a lot of abandoned places in different sectors: industrial, health, religious, education, entertainment and of course private homes. With "Home" I go closer to the secrets of people. This unique feeling of being passed on the other side of the mirror as an invisible traveler in time.
I think it has a distinctive design. I really like the cover. The full-page portraits of the featured photographers are unusual and, I think, effective. At the end of the day, what really counts is the content – the work that the magazine presents. In general, I find the content inspiring.
Dmitriy Krakovich is a photographer currently based in Kyiv and New York. His major interests are Psychological portrait, Fine art photography and Conceptual projects.
My passion of photography comes after I worked as an outlet of a local newspaper where I was working in choosing the photos that will be printed in the newspaper, then I decided to work as photographer,
The majority of humans see marine animals merely as tons of food, but I see them as so much more than that. They don´t have a voice that we can understand, so the higher purpose of my images is to be a voice of the ocean and for the ocean
I think Dodho Magazine is an essential reference point regarding photographic projects publication, with a high diffusion among the professionals of the sector, galleries, agencies, etc. ... I value the diversity of what is published and the freedom it breathes and transmits.
I love the printed edition of Dodho Magazine, I think the layout really showcases the photographers and photographs beautifully. The quality of the magazine is excellent and in a world increasingly dominated by digital media it’s crucial for print media to stand out and that’s what Dodho does.
Dodho presents many types of photographers with an open mind and a high level of requirement. It's not a unique genre of photography, but different aspects and visions. It's a great value to be in such a gallery. The visuals and writing are really good and we immediately feel how passionate the founders are.
Contents of my bag vary depending on the location, theme and the length of the trip, I always try to pack as light as I can, which basically means that I pack my passport, camera gear and very little of other non-essentials.
We had the honour of being able to interview Scott Kelby; a highly expected interview that we now have the pleasure of being able to publish in Dodho Magazine. Without any doubt, currently, Scott Kelby is one of the best photographers, with an incredible mastery of colour and light.
Usually I carry all the gear I describe above, sometimes I rent another camera so it’s easiest to change from a focal to another. Battery chargers, straps, cleaning kit and travel plug adaptor.
That day there were some big clouds moving fast. When I understood that one of them was going to cover the sun, I hurried to put the model in position and tidying up the props around her. After that I ran to get ready to shoot.
In addition to what I regularly take – the Lowepro bag, Newswear bag, which I finds very comfortable and appropriate for some days, My Canon camera , all variety of lenses- Canon 24 F2.8, Canon 16-35 f 2.8, Canon 24-105 F4, and Canon 50 f1.8.
What I bring with me during my trips depends a lot on the destination and on the kind of project I have in mind, and has also changed with the times since I did a lot of experimentation until I found out “my way”.
