Aristocracy Etymologically the word means “government of the best”. This project is located in El Zapillo, which is an urban beach located in a small town in southern Spain, where normally there are no strangers, only natives.

It is a family beach where no ordinary people “glamor” or VIPs. But these people feel themselves aristocracy, enjoy their wealth and possessions. It is the aristocracy of the mundane, from normality, their thrones are their beach chairs …These images seek the sense of humor and no sarcasm. These photographs give us an idea of what these people are, without artifice or makeup. And year after year, these people gather on the beach as if they were in a neighboring yard to spend the summer holidays. This project was designed with the idea of keeping a color style and atmosphere of the 70s and 80s The idea is that even though the project was conducted from 2010 to 2014, it seems that time had never passed . Therefore, an analogic 6×6 camera was used to make it appear that this atmosphere has been frozen in tim. [Official Website]
