The nomadic Rautes are the last hunter-gatherers of the Himalayas. The Rautes, who call themselves Kings of Forests, subsist on langur and macaque monkeys, wild yams, rice and a few kinds of vegetables traded from local farmers.

Acid attacks in Bangladesh are usually the result of land disputes, rejected marriage proposals, refusal or inability to pay dowry, resistance of being trafficked as sex worker or simply the desire for revenge.
Dhaka city is one of the fastest growing mega cities in the World. The population is more than 15 million and every day some 400,000 people are settling in and around city in hope of creating a new livelihood and find jobs.
Hundred disappeared when entire villages and homes in Langtang were wiped out when landslides, avalanches and icefalls caused by the two earth quakes that hit Nepal on 25. April and 12. May 2015.
Nepal is home to refugees from Tibet and Bhutan. But what is less known is that the country also houses hundreds of urban refugees from Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Congo, Somalia, Afghanistan and other countries.
I usually bring two camera houses, and most often it’s the Canon EOS 1DX and the Sony Alpha 7Rii. I fell that these two cameras supplement each other very well. The first is very fast, easy to maneuver, great at low-light conditions and is strong and weather proof.
I am now living and working in Nepal. When time permits I often move around with my cameras. I have a good knowledge of Nepal and its diverse people and cultures.
Nepal was hit by two strong earthquakes on 25. April and 12. May 2015 and during the following months by hundreds of aftershocks. 14 hilly and mountainous districts in the central Northern parts of Nepal were heavy affected.

I have always liked photographing. It came with my desire to travel and explore the world. When I came back from my first backpacking trip around Asia in 1985 my bag was full of exposed film rolls. I have always photographed when I travelled around.
