Meet the photographers in this book

Andreas Theologitis | 1st Place | Andreas Theologitis is a photographer whose visual approach is strongly influenced by his background in architecture and urban planning. His studies and professional experience in Belgium during the 1980s shaped his distinctive sense of form and space. Beginning with traditional darkroom photography, his work has since been exhibited internationally in cities including Athens, Brussels, London, Milan, Washington, Los Angeles, and New York, and has received recognition in several photography competitions.

Erich Hörtnagl | 2nd Place | Erich Hörtnagl studied at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Based between Sweden and Tyrol, he works across Europe as a theatre and film director and producer. His films and documentaries have been presented and awarded at international festivals. He is also active as a photographer, graphic artist, and sculptor, with work shown in international exhibitions and art fairs.

Didier Chambon | 3rd Place | Didier Chambon, born in Alsace, France, discovered photography at sixteen while working in the same foundry as his father. Using a Nikon F given to him by a friend, photography soon became central to his way of seeing the world. His first major reportage was exhibited in Paris in 1997, confirming his vocation. He later studied at E.T.P.A. in Toulouse, developed several photographic projects, and published his first book, 1 rue de la Fonderie, in 2013.

Elena Molina | Honarable Mention | Elena Molina, born in Alcoi, Spain, and based in Barcelona for more than forty years, developed her artistic vision through a lifelong passion for travel. Photography became her primary creative language about a decade ago, allowing her to explore identity, freedom, memory, solitude, and human connection. Through encounters with people and unfamiliar places, her work seeks to capture universal emotions and reveal the emotional depth of everyday life.

José Giribás M. | Honorable Mention |José Giribás Marambio is a Chilean-German photographer and photojournalist based in Germany since the 1973 military coup in Chile. Working independently since the late 1980s, he has collaborated with numerous international publications and documented major political and social events, including the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Pinochet dictatorship, the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, and the conflicts in Afghanistan.
