In reaction to my father’s death, I use the camera to describe my inner emotions. I found myself entangled in a complex web of emotions and reactions.  I felt disorientated, as if I had lost my place and purpose in life.  I was living in a different world.

The series ‘Lift not the painted veil’ is about the facade we pretend is true. The truth which remains hidden unless uncovered.  We should be seeking a more authentic life. 

In this series I am interested in gold as an element that is dense with symbolism. Gold as a symbol of gold.  Gold, the most precious metal.  Gold of more light than that with which it simmers. 

The short movie, Fly in the ointment, directed by Peter Collins engaged me to make a series of photographs in which questions raise regarding the presence or absence of human touch in our lives.
