The parallel between the still image and cinema has been something that I have been thinking about for quite some time, particularly as a lot of my current freelance work involves working with both stills and moving image in the same commercial sphere.



The Need for Creative Development
In many ways, constructed photography works in a similar way to film production, in that scenes are crafted, sets are built, and actors play a specific role to help tell a given story, as opposed to a more photojournalistic approach which aims to capture what lies before us in as truthful a way as possible.

The Isolation Diary is a gentle meditation on mental health and the value of human companionship amid the COVID-19 crisis. The concept of this project is to share a very intimate and personal reflection on the long-term effects of a traumatic societal event such as the recent worldwide pandemic.
