Three and a half years down the line, the Brexit project, fuelled essentially by UK right- wing party politics using migration as a divide and conquer strategy, remains stranded in the harbour. This historical political U-turn has shaken the very core of British democracy and its institutions. It has left businesses, UK and other EU citizens living abroad with an uncertain vision of the future.
The song “road to nowhere” from the 80’s band the Talking Heads comes to my mind as the world becomes more cynical, less connected and a more dangerous place to live in.
It sets out to document that euthanasia, contrary to suicide, is not triggered by a severe depressive state. It is a conscious decision and a deeply human journey where the dichotomy of right and wrong must make way for compassion and hope.
