Gangotri National Park is a national park located in Uttarkashi District Uttarakhand, India. The size of this national park is about 2,390 square km. The park provides majestic beauty of the high Himalayas and home of some of the majestic peak of Indian Himalayas.
Uttarakhand is called land of gods; gangotri is the canter of that land. Some of the most important rivers are originated from various glaciers located inside this park; most famous is Holy River Ganges, which is the life line of India originated from the gangotri glacier. From environmental point of view this park need special care because due to global warming so many of its frozen rivers melting so fast.
