Waking as if from a dream, she stumbled forwards. She turned around but it was too late, the door slammed shut behind her.

Unable to determine how she arrived, her only option was to explore until she discovered a way out. She felt around using her hands; it seemed she was in a hallway.

No choice but to walk forwards, after a walk that seemed like an age, a dim light began to brighten. It was unclear to her if the light became brighter as she walked towards it or if it was simply growing, fed by some unseen source. Suddenly, she was immersed in light, finding herself in a room with a purposeless window. Looking all around, she realized there was yet another hallway. In this hallway, she reached a dead end. There was a bland-looking wall but when she reached out, she felt that it was made of cardboard. She thrust her whole weight forward, collapsing on top of the wall. Another room had been discovered, a warehouse! Still unable to determine clues about where she was or how she got there, she began prowling around. Strangely enough, she did not feel thirsty or tired, only filled with curiosity for her surroundings. The warehouse was vast and empty. She crawled on all fours, searching for something, anything. In a corner, she found a dilapidated bureau with a drawer. Gingerly, she opened the drawer expecting spiders or some crawling thing. She found instead a scarf, some shoes, jewelry, and other odd bits of clothing.

An abandoned hallway, an empty warehouse. Three months of solitude had driven her deep into boredom, settling over her mind like sickness. Consumed in this loneliness, she created the friends she dreamed of meeting. No television, no books, or contact with the outside, left to no device but her own quixotic imagination.
