Riccardo La Valle is a photographer based in Milan, he was born in Latina in 1987, he came in touch with photography at the age of 21 years. Riccardo La Valle creates images that are ripe with juxtapositions: delicate yet bold, sensual yet strong.
Using a muted color palate he creates otherworldly compositions that draw the viewer in, requiring many moments of contemplation. His ideas take time to digest, a welcome experience in a time characterized by instant gratification. As is always a special experience with art, his images make you feel something; they make you stop, and they make you wonder.
Everything start to move in his mind from words, then he transform them into strange images where everything becomes inusual and alienating, a beautiful face can become something very strange to see, the color, the skin and eyes, seem have some distortion,like if them are not natural. He spend a lot of his time trying to evolve himself trough the discovering of new instruments and analyzing his mental visions, due of this way to approach the photography, he can mantain his peculiar style but changing the content, however, the religion, the sickness and the symbolism, are a costant of his work.Now he is trying to approach the artistic part of the photography with other projects, expressing himself through the experimentation of composition and thanks to the analogue photography, he is finding a new way to obtain the answers to his needs.
