Change in uncertain times as one seeks the creative pulse in what seems disarray: The Pandemic; an emotionality all can relate, to the tune of unity and sympathetic understanding and curious, creative leanings into the uncertainty.

Parties cancelled! Art events, concerts, conferences, culture and industries postponed, meanwhile laying a new line of representation in the new mainstay of Zoomology. Store fronts closed, cafes, restaurants with break of European style outdoor seating, to be continued. 2020 and 2021, mostly closed for old style business with icing of the cake – to limit or eliminate personal contacts with a cherry on top: global contagion, masks on at a distance. Where do liberties go? They shift. All be with resistant moments or at others a welcome surrendered and grace to put it all down and walk into an unknown. What will we create?

As technology innovates in substitute, all man made postponements grant nature great respite. Headlines of improved air quality in Los Angeles, highways gone quiet around the world, wild life come home to their lost habitat and after too many years of environmental concern for it’s loss, the snow falls again in Berlin. People brought to the brink of a new precipice, finding renewed paths to inner emotional resources and innovative ways of being. A fascinating time to watch artists create new visions in forests of fantasy and interpretation of new visions in the topsy turvy uncertain climax of panic, health and love for long walks of wonder. Things all share. A time of vision in a cacophony of uncertainty.

The photographs in this series communicate a reconnection to the natural environment in consort with fresh, unfound before perspectives during unprecedented times. The photographer seeks empathetic comparison between the durable, appearing structure of the modern world in it’s always inherent uncertainty with a certain, endless supply of creative energy humans and worlds possess, pulsing into our impermanent cycles of life.

It leaves questions in process: Do we make change or do uncontrollable events transpire to make changes and new ways of seeing, for us? Do we bode as abundantly as the alignment of our focus, much like a photograph? Certainly, the creative unpredictable. [Official Website]
