Following an amazing awards and exhibition last August in Kuala Lumpur, we are now once again calling for entries to our 9th instalment, starting 1 March when KLPA2017 will be open for submissions.
This year, we will be seeking interpretations on the theme DEFINING FAMILY by asking the important question : How are modern families represented across the world photographically?
We look forward to your photographic portrayals of this current and topical subject matter which traditionally forms the basis and bedrock of many societies across the globe.
As in previous years, KLPA2017 seeks fresh and innovative photography by new, emerging and established photographers from around the world.
With a total prize money of $13,500 including 3 specially commissioned trophies from US-based Malaysian multidisciplinary artist KONG WEE PANG; workshop places from Obscura Festival and Invisible Photographer Asia; KLPA2017 will culminate in an Awards event and public exhibition of the 50 winning entries in Kuala Lumpur this September.
We have selected a special panel of judges representing the industry, from Asia and also internationally who will gather in Kuala Lumpur in May to make their selections.
