1. MATT LEWIS
Matthew Lewis was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy last February 2015. It causes the wasting away of muscle tissue from his arms and legs and will result in life in a wheelchair and the inability to walk. It has already started as he is now using a cane but struggles to get around. He is only 33 years old. Matt prepares to undergo an advanced (and expensive) new approach to treating Muscular Dystrophy through stem cell therapy. Matt is currently receiving treatment (physical therapy) at Emory University MDA Clinic.
