Portraits of Hope Project is an ongoing project of Irvin Rivera of www.graphicsmetropolis.com that aims to raise funds for various people, groups, institutions, causes in need one portrait at a time.
Mark your calendars. My team will be doing 2 #PortraitsOfHopeProject event this upcoming September 30th (Wednesday) and October 4th (Sunday).
We are raising funds for 2 different beneficiaries this time.
1. MATT LEWIS
Matthew Lewis was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy last February 2015. It causes the wasting away of muscle tissue from his arms and legs and will result in life in a wheelchair and the inability to walk. It has already started as he is now using a cane but struggles to get around. He is only 33 years old. Matt prepares to undergo an advanced (and expensive) new approach to treating Muscular Dystrophy through stem cell therapy. Matt is currently receiving treatment (physical therapy) at Emory University MDA Clinic.
2. CLICK & SHARE PROJECT (Benefitting the Underprivileged Special Education Children of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines)
A Project initiative of Photographer Francis Gum that aims to raise funds and to provide a memorable and pleasant experience to the underprivileged children enrolled at the Special Education Department of Bayobong Central Elementary School, in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. These are mainly children with autism and children with visual and auditory disabilities.
