Marcel Kolacek is a Czech Award-Winning freelance photographer who focuses primarily on BW humanistic, documentary photography. At the same time, he devotes attention to a completely different discipline- nudes.
It’s not as strange as it may seem. Serious interest for the photography was caused by Helmut Newton and Marcel’s first attempts were nudes. His focus turned over time to a completely different genre but his enthusiasm for the nude did not escape. Marcel’s nudes can be distinguished in two styles – classical and, as he calls it – modern. This series shows his classic female nude. It’s a celebration of femininity, kind of body study. Beauty in simplicity. One light and one woman. Light and shadows. Inspiration is sculpture and painting. Another inspiration for Marcel is Irving Penn and Christan Coigny. “I’m looking for a simple, quiet and pure beauty” He says. In the future He would like to publish a book with classic nude.[Official Website]
“In contrast to other art, photography has an extraordinary ability. As the only one can stop the time. Volatile moments that will never be repeated. Find these moments and capture them, convey, that’s what satisfies me. Tell the stories of ordinary people who would were lost under the weight of time.”
