The In focus galerie was founded in 1990 und shows photography in its whole range, classic journalistic-, portrait-, staged-, concept-, nude- and architecture photography (vintage and later prints) from 1945 up to today.
I was born and presently live in the city of arts in Vitebsk, Belarus. All my interests were in performance arts. So I graduated art academy and started focusing on photography.
Francesco Candeloro lives and works in Venice, where he studied by the Fine Arts Academy. The dimensions of light and color through a production that is articulated in different series and expressive techniques.
Normally I travel with two camera bodies, a Canon 7D and an old Canon 30D, two machines to read but very reliable, even under extreme conditions. I carry tree objectives: a 10-22 1: 3.5 - 4.5 which is the one I prefer, a 17-55 1: 2.8 which is good for all situations and a 70-200 1: 4 in the case of subjects distant.
I use a Lowepro medium format bag, which at times isn’t large enough, but otherwise, I’m very happy with it. The bag has to be strong, reasonably comfortable to carry, and has to allow for quick access to everything.
I usually bring two camera houses, and most often it’s the Canon EOS 1DX and the Sony Alpha 7Rii. I fell that these two cameras supplement each other very well. The first is very fast, easy to maneuver, great at low-light conditions and is strong and weather proof.
In photography, I'm working with two different tools, so let's say I've two camera bags. In the first one, you can find an entry level reflex, which is a Nikon D5000 with two lenses (a 18-105 mm and a 50mm 1.8) and a Manfrotto Tripod

I am an emerging photographic based artist. After a career teaching art fulltime in the NYC public schools for over 3 decades, I am focusing on editing, exhibiting and publishing my tremendous archive as a series of photographic memoirs.

My photographs start with a strong central “event” then comes location and colour. They contain surrealism, the unusual and the quirky. I use eroticism and frequently narrative elements to that lead the viewer to conjecture what may have happened before or after the frame was taken.
The only postproduction on the photo is a little boost in the contrast and vibrancy.  The effect with the mirror is 100% captured in-camera, by holding an actual mirror, experimenting with different angles, and waiting for the correct lighting.
It all started in middle school with a mixed-media class. The assignment was to take photograph, process the film and make a print. In the darkroom making my first print, I emerged a single piece of white paper into a smelly liquid…
